You know that your company needs to be on social media, but where do you even start? Think of social media as your newest advertising and marketing outlet like billboards, radio and TV ads used to be in traditional media. To build your brand awareness you need to be where your current and potential customers are getting their information on products and services. It could be through blogs, message boards, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, LinkedIn or other outlets, and it can be overwhelming to monitor and respond to all of your customers needs if you don’t know where to look. This is where JBoy Media comes in.

Owner, Erin Gershik, had been doing social media consulting for 5 years while working other jobs until she decided to start her own business, JBoy Media. Erin has her bachelors degree from Berklee College of Music in Music Business/Management and her MBA from Northeastern University focusing on Marketing and Entrepreneurship.

A note from Erin

Social Media has gone from a passion to a career over the past decade. From being one of the first students to be able to access Facebook in its infancy at Berklee College of Music in Boston, to creating MySpace pages for local bands and updating their profiles for Epitaph Records. Watching Twitter explode with celebrity communication and hashtags taking over our lives. I have been on the forefront of each new social media platform, learning everything I could about the capabilities of each and what it could do for my friends bands, the companies I worked for, and my future in the business world.
